Jeans: Ripped jeans, acid washed jeans, high-waisted jeans, and parachute pants. Jordache jeans were the biggest trend in 1982, known for their tight fit and high waistline.
Work-out: Spandex, leg warmers and wrist sweatbands.
Outerwear: Members’ Only jackets, denim jackets.
Preppy clothing for men: Oxford shirts, sweaters, turtlenecks, polo shirts, slacks, and dress pants with loafers or boat shoes.
Accessories: Women- big hoops, fanny packs, bandanas, chunky jewelry. Men- suspenders, ties, and cufflinks.
Shoes: Ankle boots, Reeboks, Converse All-Stars, Vans Classics, Doc Martens, Huaraches, Sperrys, Air Jordans and Adidas.
Hairstyles: Big hair, including mullets, often achieved with perms.
